Mosaic Jazz Collective is a young, emerging force in Sydney's Jazz scene. The group is dedicated to performing and sharing original Australian jazz compositions. They source compositions from the band members and hand-picked composers from a variety of backgrounds and influences. This often results in a diverse, unique, and distinct show, with a little bit of something for everyone.
Compositional representation is integral to Mosaic's philosophy as a band. We strive to source composers from under-represented backgrounds, and give them performance and recording opportunities. We encourage any young emerging composers to reach out, as we are always looking for new music!
This has been recieved well by Sydney, with Mosaic performing to sold out audiences at their bi-monthly Foundry616 residency. Furthering their reach, Mosaic has performed at the Sydney International Jazz Festival, and are currently gearing up for Manly and Wangaratta Jazz Festivals later this year.
